1 in 5 adults are suspected of suffering from OSA. Most remain undiagnosed and untreated, increasing their risk of developing some of today’s most serious and crippling chronic health conditions.
Test for sleep apnea, check your sleep quality, and begin eating your way to better sleep.
In other words, rule out a common culprit and get started with one of sleep health’s fundamentals - eating your way to better sleep!
P.S. If your sleep test is positive for sleep apnea you will need to add in additional interventions alongside the diet.

what is Obstructive Sleep Apnea? (OSA)
OSA is a condition where breathing starts and stops repeatedly during sleep because the airway becomes obstructed when muscles in the throat area relax.
Snoring is one of the most common OSA nighttime symptoms and is typically reported by family, friends, and neighbours!
If you snore get tested to rule out OSA.
When the airway repeatedly obstructs it causes oxygen levels to decrease and fluctuate. This has a knock-on effect on sleep quality and other important body processes. Disrupted sleep quality then manifests into a range of symptoms including but not limited to daytime tiredness, lack of energy, appetite changes, weight gain, mood changes and so much more.
As you can see not all symptoms are easily linked to sleep apnea making it one of the reasons why OSA goes undetected and untreated.
Serious medical conditions such as stroke, high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cancers, depression, anxiety, alzheimer's, obesity, type II diabetes, cardiometabolic syndrome, and more are well documented in evidence-based studies with links to OSA.
Untreated OSA is therefore connected to reduced life expectancy.
